Clubhouse Tour

Cardiff Golf Club’s clubhouse was completed at a cost of about £1.1m and was officially opened by Mr. John Roger Jones, President of the Welsh Golfing Union, on the 7th March 1999.

Located on the ground floor are the changing rooms, the office and the golf simulator room. Also on the ground floor is professional shop with a very large range of golfing equipment, clothes and accessories.

The first floor and balcony provide commanding views over the golf course and includes the Pugsley Bar and the spacious main reception area which combines lounge and dining areas and can accommodate multiple functions of various sizes.

Main Function Suite

The main function room is located on the first floor of the clubhouse with access to the outside balcony which has panoramic views over the 1st and 18th holes. The room can comfortably accommodate up to 120 people for a dinner or social event and has a dance-floor for club and visitor social events.

An extra benefit is provided by the two sliding acoustic partitions to enable the room to be split into three sections, a separate bar area, a central room, and a smaller room. All three areas have access to the outside balcony.

The room is used for social events and for hosting various functions and presentations for our visitors.

You simply will not find a function or meeting room anywhere with views such as ours.

Private Meeting Rooms

Our two private meeting rooms cater from the smallest of groups up to a maximum of 20 delegates. These rooms can be set up in whichever layout that may be required. The larger of our two private meeting rooms also has access onto the balcony and views down over the 1st hole and 18th green.

You will not find a function or meeting room anywhere with views such as ours!

Pugsley Bar

Situated on the first floor of the clubhouse, the Pugsley Bar is used by members and guests. The windows overlook the 18th green and a door leads on to the outside balcony which extends across nearly the whole width of the clubhouse.

The bar has a homely but traditional feel since many of the club’s honour boards and some of the fixtures and fittings from the old clubhouse were transferred to this bar.

A recent popular change has seen the room extended to nearly twice its former size to incorporate a television area which is widely used in particular for major sporting events.
